    1. [NCRUTHER-L] Sarah Bridges Lovelace
    2. Greg Lovelace
    3. Hello, cuzzins I'm turning to you in the hopes that you folks can help me :-) According to the 1850 Rutherford Co. census, Sarah Bridges was born c1834 to Alexander and Hettie Daves Bridges of Rutherford Co. On 26 Oct 1854, she married William Lovelace in Rutherford Co. They are together from the 1860 census through the 1880 census, raising a goodly-sized family. In the 1900 census, William appears to be married to another Sarah. They have been married within the year. I have a marriage bond showing the marriage of a William Lovelace to a Sarah James Lovelace on 9 Jan 1900, and I believe this to be the couple in the 1900 census. My question concerns Sarah Bridges Lovelace. If William has remarried in 1900, then sometime between 1880 and 1900, his first wife Sarah Bridges Lovelace has either died or left him. Do any of you have any data which show a death date or any burial information for her? I have searched the index to the Rutherford Co. Cemetery page, but she is not listed there. I would love to know anything concerning her death or whatever circumstances led to William's second marriage. Thank you :-) Peace, Part of the Tree, Greg Lovelace gregl@starfishnet.com
