Jacob Hileman, the patriarch of this branch of the Hileman family, was probably born in Northhampton or Northumberland Co., Pennsylvania. By 1790 he had moved his family to Mecklenburg County, North Carolina where he purchased 200 acres of land on Dutch Buffalo Creek from Jacob Goodman for Ð130. Between the years of 1805 and 1814, Jacob purchased over 1100 acres of land in Cabarrus Co., NC. Before 1819. Jacob sold most of his lands in Cabarrus County to his son, Jacob Jr., and moved to Union County, Illinois. He lived in Union County until his death in 1828. He served in the Revolutionary War. His tombstone in St. John's Cemetery in Union Co., IL states that he died at the age of 66 years, 1 month, and 15 days. I am trying to find information on Christina's lineage and find her parents and siblings. She was born 1 Sep 1768. She died 12 Feb 1853 in Union Co., IL.
