    3. John and Lucy Hayes are buried at Bethabara Baptist Church in Watkinsville, Oconee, Georgia. This is the information on the tombstones: John Hayes, Jan 27, 1791, Jun 13, 1881, Age 96y 5m 17d Pensioned Soldier of 1812 L. A. Hayes, ---, Oct 24, 1857, Consort of John Hayes age 50y 8m 7d Member of Baptist Church about 23y. Their daughter, Matilda Frances Hayes (26 Mar 1836 - 15 Feb 1900) was the second wife of my great-grandfather, Rev. Jefferson G. McNorton. I have information on the descendants of Matilda Frances Hayes McNorton and will pass it along to you if you need it. I do not have any other information on John and Lucy.
