I am helping my adopted daughter research her birth family. Her ancestor, Thomas W. Campbell, born 1847 in Lafayette Co, MO, was the son of John Campbell and his second wife Melvina Granger. We have new information that John born about 1800 in NC may have been born in Rowan County, NC. Possibly the son of Michael Campbell. John's first wife (we think) was Melinda Bone, born about 1807 in Wilson Co, TN, the daughter of James Bone and Arcendeth Potts of Rowan County, NC.
