On the Petition of Dower there are 7 children listed as petitioners: George Miller, Tobias Miller, Frederick Miller, David Miller, Christian Furr wife Susanna, Henry Beaver wife Amelia, and Green Redwine wife Anna. The Petition of Dower is dated July Session of 1836. I know of at least one son that is not listed on the Petition of Dower, John Franklin Miller. I have confirmed he is their son from an old family Bible that has past down through that branch of the family. In an 1824 affadavit for George's pension application he states that he had 13 children and all but one had "gone West". That was not true, because Tobias, Frederick, Anna and John Franklin stayed in the area. Soon after the death of George, David and his wife Clarenda Rece White moved to Ponotoc MS. Amelia and her husband Henry Beaver moved to Hardeman, TN. I assume Anna died before April 1838,! when her husband Green Redwine remarried. Green was a Constable in Rowan County. John Franklin was a Justice of the Peace for Stanly County. If you recognize any of the names or would like copies of any of the documentation, let me know.
