I have found them in Rowan 1840 (indexed Nathan Hongent) between David Roseman and John Castor, but have been unable to find them in the 1850 census. They also lived in Cabarrus county sometimes. According to daughters Sallie & Mariah Francis' death certificates their mother's maiden name was Phillips. I believe their children may have included Joicy b. 1834 (who married Christopher Moose); Jacob Levi b. 1837 (who married Catherine Peninger); Mariah Francis b. 1842 (who married Rufus Alexander Stirewalt); Sallie b. 1844 (who married David Stirewalt); and Lydia b. 1850 (who married Daniel Stirewalt).
