Morrison of Lincoln County, NC, whose daughters married "Stonewall" Jackson and Gen. D.H. Hill and who lived at Cottage Home, Lincoln County, NC, may very well be in your line. The McCorkles moved west across the Catawba River and I strongly suspect the Morrisons did the same. If are already aware of this, great. If not, maybe it would be something to "chew on." Take care.
