    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Author: plumfine Surnames: Baity, Shoaf Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.northcarolina.counties.rowan/12286.2.1.1.1.1.1.1.1.1.2/mb.ashx Message Board Post: I'm sorry I forgot to add that I'm working out which Baity family this John Louis Baity belongs to. I did not find any of the below listed children buried at Courtney but I'm going to look through it again. George Enoch Francis Baity's son is shown on the 1880 census as John F. Baity, b. abt. 1873. The "F" could be another middle name or an error. It's all part of the big puzzle but I agree it strongly suggests that he is the son of George Enoch. John L. Baity is shown is 1930 census at Salisbury, Rowan, NC, age 58, b.abt. 1872, spouse, Eliza B. with children, Marvin D. age 24, Dallas K. age 20, George E. age 16, Odell O., age 13. The son George E. is possibly named for George Enoch. In 1920 census at Salisbury, Rowan, NC, children are Marvin age 16, Beatrice age 13, Dallas age 10, Elsie age 6, Adell age 3-8/12 1910 census at Salisbury, Rowan, NC, the children are Marvin, Beatrice and Dallas. John and Eliza had been married 10 years, they had 4 children born and one died which I suspect is the Dewwy Flake Baity buried beside them. That's all I have for now but I'll update if I find any further information. Pat Beaty Webster http://beaty-cox.org Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
