Working on the family of Ninian W Steele b Aug 6, 1829 North Carolina. Wherever Ninian, or his childern go Walter B Steele is nearby, but there is no direct connection that I can find. I was going through all census in Iredell, county census for 1850. I, am thinking he is related somehow, cousin maybe? On 1858 birth records for Caldwell County, KY. Ninian W, and Eliza J McElroy have daughter Mary E born in Mar. Ninian Lee Walter's son is on next line born in Dec. I looked for Ninian W Steele on 1880 Census in Caldwell Co., on 1880 census, the only child I found was Mary E she was married to a Dennis, and living in Christian Co., KY. They moved to Henderson Co., around 1890's. Living with her is Humphery Lee Steel on 1910 census right before she died in 1910 he is listed as brother.
