Even though the name appers to be Watta B Steele, it is more likely Walter. The fact that Walter's future wife, Loretta Elliott is only a few more lines further down, on the neighboring farm makes it even more likely that my great granddad was listed twice in 1850 census. Once here with his employer, who was perhaps his uncle, and once with his parents Ninian and Esther Steele. Thanks for bringing this to my attention.
