Does this ring a bell? Joyce's Info: I. James & Agnes(?) McClure Born about 1690 in County Donegal, Ireland, son of Andrew McClure, and died August 16, 1769, in Augusta Co., VA. James McClure married Agnes(?) about 1709. Children of James and Agnes McClure: John, Andrew, Eleanor, Jean, James Jr., Samuel and Esther. NOTE: The above (unverified) information on the early era of Andrew McClure and his son James McClure was quoted from an "Ancestry" website by Ileen Kinman. II. Samuel & Sarah Rankin-McClure Born 1719, Augusta Co., VA, died about 1791 in Lancaster Co., SC, married Sarah Rankin in Virginia. As you can see, it appears that the family moved to SC and could have been there at the same time as the Andrew that you are looking for. Alan
