They were married, probably in North Carolina, also, abt. 1808 (based on the birth of their first child, Philip Samuel Cannon, in 1809). I have reason to believe they may both have been born in Rowan County. Does anyone have any Cannon and/or Sitton data from the 1760s for Rowan County? Gary
