In 1780 Samuel Reid commanded a company in Colonel Alexander's regiment, General Rutherford's brigade, North Carolina militia.I have a few questions which one or more of you may be able to answer. 1.] I have some background on REID and General [Griffith] RUTHERFORD but who was Colonel Alexander? 2.] In 1780 RUTHERFORD's brigade fought at Ramseur's Mills on June 20th, and at Camden August 16. Were REID and ALEXANDER present at those battles? Any additional information on REID's company, length of service, service, etc. would be appreciated
