    1. [NCRowan] Ballad of Tom Dula/Dooley

    3. I think I remember some postings about the legend of Tom Dula/Dooley recently, but I didn't save them. I haven't read the book, but this is supposed to be the definitive book on whether Tom Dula killed the lady Laura Foster. It documents the trials and execution of Tom. The Ballad of Tom Dula by John Foster West Pub'd by Moore Pub'ing Co., Durham, NC (date?) (John Foster West was a university English/journalism professor and I think he hails/hailed from the same part of NC as the legend--I think Wilkes Co., NC) Betty Pace
