    3. The most recent issue of the Rowan Co. Genealogical Society Journal (Vol. 16, #3, 2002) contains the obituary from the Carolina Watchman on April 15, 1886 of a JOHN JULIAN (1800-1886). I am not sure who he is but he must be a part of my Julian family somehow. "Death of JOHN JULIAN - Another old and valued citizen of this county passed through the iron gate Monday morning last. Mr Julian was born in April 1800; and was therefore eighty-six years old. He was well known in this county and also in Iredell, where he lived many years. He resided in this vicinity the last forty years of his life. He was a farmer and retained considerable strength up to the time of his last illness; and having been accustomed to active out-door labors all his life, was frequently seen in town, mixing with people, and taking active interest in the subjects engaging popular concern. Respected by all who knew him, reverenced by his children and grandchildren, the memory of John Julian will linger for many years in honor of him whose life was one continued scene of duties well-performed." Does anyone know the parents, wife, and children of this John Julian? Betty
