One solution would be to enroll in the single-message mode of this mailing list. You now get digest (D), but you could get L mode (single message). Of course, it would mean reading all of the messages as separate. I do not know what the problem is but I do know that my internet provider uses McAfee to scan for virus and will put anything it cannot open in a "junk" folder which is where I found this message.
