Surnames: Stewart, Sumner Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/0VB.2ACI/7042 Message Board Post: Judah Stewart, born circa 1770 in NC, possibly Wilkes, Surrey or Rowan County, married John Sumner, eventually moved to what became Letcher Co., KY, along with many others from Wilkes Co. She died there in 1850, after the census was taken. Supposedly her father was Jasper Stewart, tho Jasper is not a common given name for that era. In 1850 Judah was living with her daughter in law, Nancy Hampton Sumner (the Hamptons were also from NC) Any information would be most appreciated. Many thanks, Ann
