Seems there was a Nemien/Ninien Steel h/o Jane Armstrong that died in Owen CO Indiana. This Nemien/Ninien was the s/o Samuel Steel Jr. buried in Rowan CO NC s/o Samuel Sr. & Ann Futhey. Seems that your Ninian may be of the same group. BUT, I also noted the Locke surname. You see, further on down the line, my Nancy Jane Lock marries into my Samuel Franklin Evans family. Their daughter married into the Steele family. These families found in Putnam & Owen CO Indiana, and then in Davis CO Iowa. Nancy Jane Locke was the d/o John Locke of NC and Sarah Ann Dolan. This John Locke s/o John Lock of NC and Lucretia Hicks. Any relation?
