I know this message might be questionable on a genealogy mailing list, but here people do have living elderly relatives who might have experienced something called a reverse morttgage. I have a lady in my family who is considering something called a reverse mortage just to make available to herself a little more cash monthly. I have heard some vague but unpleasant things about reverse mortages but I haven't been able to come up with enough information to help her. She lives in Virginia. Does anyone have a parent or grandparents who has taken out one of these reverse mortges, sometimes called a Home Equity Conversiion Mortage on the internet.
