    3. I am trying to trace my Reece relatives that may have been in Rowan Co. in the late 1700s. John Reece married 2ndly a Mary "Polly" Brandon, b. Rowan Co., in Rutherford Co., TN, in about 1823. John was born about 1800; possibly earlier. I am wondering if anyone there has any leads on any Reece/Reese/Rhys/Rice folks in the area? Thanks in advance. 3. Is Rowan County, N.C. in the Ozarks and Piedmont areas? Just what are those areas and why are they named so? I have heard of the Piedmont area, but don't understand what it means. Mrs. S. Heiney, aj4ever@olemac.net PS, my ancestors name was John Adams, Sr. I see that name isn't one you are researching----I have had others research him, he is HARD to find. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gerald Johnston" <gerald.h.johnston@worldnet.att.net> To: <NCROWAN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, December 19, 2002 8:00 PM Subject: [NCRowan] Reece & Brandon > I am trying to trace my Reece relatives that may have been in Rowan Co. in the late 1700s. > > John Reece married 2ndly a Mary "Polly" Brandon, b.
