That was a different Edward Burleson altogether. Also, Matilda's father was indisputably Daniel McKissick, but not the same Capt. Daniel McKissick that was Jane Wilson's husband. There were several Daniel McKissicks, and it has been the subject of quite a bit of research. It is now clear that Captain Daniel McKissick is not the father of Matilda.
