Dear folks No, these are from Olive Tree and there is no cost and no private information required to access anything on Olive Tree- and no one asks for social security numbers any more. The last time I took advantage of the 14 day trial it cost me nothing and I really used it for 14 days - one does have to go the the bother of providing a credit card number and of remembering to cancel the subscription by phone before the 14 days are up. It is quick and easy to use and can be informative..One also may re-subscribe to such a trial as often as one wishes. However the items that are mentioned in Mrs. Pace's email are right there on the Olive Tree web site - one only need page down in the site and there they are. I am not touting Ancestry.com nor Genealogy.com , everyone to his own thing, I just want to compliment Lorine McGinnis Schulze, for still trying to keep Olive Tree as free as possible.
