Grandfather stated(in the 1860 Census while he lived in Scotland County Missouri) that his parents were from NC , but we don't know what County nor their given names . Our Jacob Myers was born in 1815 after the family evidently moved from NC to Ohio. We don't know if Jacob had siblings OLDER or younger . Jacob later migrated to Indiana where he married in Grant County INDIANA in 1840 . He lived in several IN counties, and IA and MO. He and his large family (14 children total -- only ½ survived to adulthood) migrated by wagon train to Southern Oregon in 1864 where he homesteaded near the town of Medford .
