Tom MCBRIDE, JR., Robert Entered into eternal rest on Wednesday afternoon, February 13, 2002, Robert Lee "Mac" McBride, Jr., husband of Louise Hutchinson McBride. Residence, Rocks Pond, Eutawville, S.C. The relatives and friends of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lee McBride, Jr., are invited to attend the Memorial Services of the former in J. HENRY STUHR, INC., GREENRIDGE ROAD CHAPEL, Sunday afternoon, February 17, 2002, at 2 o'clock. Interment will be private. Friends may call from 12:30 o'clock until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Crippled Children, Greenville Unit, 950 West Faris Road, Greenville, S.C. 29605. Mr. McBride was born May 31, 1931, in Burlington, N.C., the son of the late Robert Lee McBride and Ethel Margaret Hipp McBride. Mr. McBride was a member of United Church of Christ. He was a Veteran in the United States Navy serving in the Vietnam War and receiving many awards during his career to include the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Certificate (Third Award), Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnamese Campaign Medal and the Navy Commendation Medal, and a member of L. Mendel Rivers Branch #50 Fleet Reserve Association. He was a former member of Carolina Masonic Lodge #375 A.F.M. and presently a member of Vance Lodge A.F.M., S.C., Omar Temple and the Omar "Imps" in Florence, S.C. He is survived by his wife of Eutawville, S.C.; four sons and daughters-in-law, Ron (Sue) McBride of Florence, S.C., Tim (Joy) McBride of Charleston, S.C., Wayne McBride of Charleston, S.C., and Wayne (Cheryl) Flowers of Summerville, S.C.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan (Randy) Pulley of Goose Creek, S.C., and Linda (Randy) Knight of North Charleston, S.C.; one sister, Hilda Shaver of Salisbury, N.C.; ten grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.
