The list was published in the book "Rowan County, NC tax lists 1757-1800, compiled by Jo White Linn 1995 She states that runaway were men not friendly to the Rev. War and left the area. I knew Daniel Beam left and went west. The men in this list dated 1782 lived in the area now Davie County. There are two more list now Davie County, one 1778 Capt Johnston's list, another 1782 Capt Johnston's list.
