Is anyone on this list researching the Stanley or Stanly family who was in Rowan County, NC in the late 1700s and early 1800s? I'm particularly interested in the family of Joseph Stanly who I found on the 1810 census. Living with him were 3 males under 10, one male 16-25, one female under 10 and one female 16 to 25 (possibly his wife). I believe this "may" be the family of my John Stanley who was living in Santa Rosa County, FL by 1840. John Stanley married Nancy Owens (possibly spelled Owing). John was born about 1800 and married sometime before 1840. Any information on this family would be appreciated very much.
