I am a descendent of James Kell through his son, Alexander Kell and then through his daughter, Elizabeth Kell, who married Lewis Ralston. I am wondering if you have come across any new information regarding the parents of Capt. James Kell. Do you have any idea whether he was scottish or Irish or a Kehl from Germany as some say?
