The following deposition concerns Andrew Job, John Jacob Job, Enoch Job and Abraham Job all living in Nottingham and calling themselves Ponsulvanians. Deposition dated __ March 1719. Robert Hodgson of Cecil Co age 45 yrs being one of the people commonly called Quakers affirm that one Elisha Gatchill of Nottingham last October told him that there was an agreement made between the Govenour of Ponsulvania and the Govenour of Maryland and between the Secretary of the Province that the Nottingham south line should be the division line between the two provinces and that if any persons should survey any land by Maryland right to the northward of ye aforesaid line the said Gatchell would send or take them before the authority of Ponsulvania and Hodgson further affirms Andrew Job and one Henry Worly, a surveyor have surveyed about 100 acres of land by a Ponsulvania right held by said deponents by virtue of Maryland rights and further that said Gatchill told the deponent that he should ___ his land from Maryland for it was far within the rights of Ponsulvania. Sworn before A Bebber, M Vamder_eyder, Ephra. Aug. Herman I don't know if this is the same Robert Hodgson, who with James Hendricks, warranted 3500 acres at Conestoga.
