When I did a search on the name, it came back with websites that spell in Schweissgodt, or something like that! Swicegood may be a derivative of something similar to that spelling, which appears to be German(?). Have you seen any other Swicegoods in Rowan County? Have you done any research in New Jersey for any of your families? Thank you for replying!
