My e-mail address changed in February to mccollumw@comcast.net. I believe we are talking about two different Daniels. My ancestor, whom I've traced to an unmarked grave in White County Georgia, filed a series of pension application papers from that area between 1832 and 1840 and indicated that he was born in New Jersey in 1760, served in Locke's regiment in Rowan County from 1776-1783, moved to South Carolina after the Revolution and to Georgia in February 1826. I have land records of two Daniels in the Pendleton District, one of whom sold out in 1795 and moved to Kentucky. The Daniel I have been tracing appears in every Pendleton census from 1790 to 1820; in the latter ones near his son William (b 1789). In 1830 he is in Habersham County Georgia near William and another son, John (b 1805). In 1840 and 1850 he is in the home of his daughter and son-in-law. The 1840 census shows him to be! a Revolutionary War veteran. His final pension record from March 1850 also places him in the Blue Creek District of Habersham County, which became White County in 1857. My transcription of his lengthy pension papers was posted on the Rowan County site this summer, but I also have cemetery pictures and other information that might be of interst to you. I'd be happy to share what I have and would be interested in your land grant documentation. That's something I haven't uncovered.
