Author: blueraine2 Surnames: Ball Classification: queries Message Board URL: http://boards.rootsweb.com/localities.northam.usa.states.northcarolina.counties.rowan/12370.1.1/mb.ashx Message Board Post: Thanks very much, Pat. That actually helps a lot. I believe this is likely William Ball Sr. based on sons William and John. William Jr. (who married Sarah Sally Campbell in 1788) does not have a son John, at least as far as I can tell. I take it those are the only 2 children listed? It's really too bad it doesn't list a wife -- I've been trying to clearly identify her for some time. I guess I'm going to have to try to order a copy of this will from the archives and hope they actually have it. 2. Cabarrus Genealogy Society has a book " Cabarrus County Tax Assessments, 1860 and 1863". Since slaves were taxed in those assessments, they are listed. The Cabarrus county list is the only known to still exist.

I'm trying to determine the children of WILLIAM BALL SR. and Betty Debord. Your John Ball m. Deborah Murphy came up in my research. Do you know if this John Ball is the Son of John Ball (b. abt. 1767) who married Agness Adams January 5, 1788 in Rowan County? Thanks much, Kim Archer Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
