    3. Does anyone on this list have any information on the Owens who were living in Rowan County in the early 1800s. On the 1820 census, four are listed living next door to each other: Ralph, Joseph, Moses and Samuel Owens. I'm trying to connect this Joseph Owens to "my" Joseph Owens who was living in Santa Rosa County, FL by 1840. My Joseph was born about 1777 somewhere in NC and married Elizabeth Bennet. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Susan Hill Husij husij@cox.net

Surnames: REED, BELL Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/0VB.2ACI/6995 Message Board Post: I am searching for descendants and/or information about a REED family and a marriage that took place in Rowan Co, NC on 26 Dec 1766 between HENRY REED and AGNES BELL (Rowan Co, NC marriage record). I believe Agnes was the daughter of Thomas BELL. A will of a HENRY REED d. abt Aug 1789 in Guilford Co, NC names Agnes REED as his wife. An Agnes REED died in Guilford Co, NC 1800 leaving in the court minutes that she leaves children, James, John, Elizabeth and Henry, orphans of Henry REED. My great grandfather Thomas REED says his grandfather Henry REED came from Ireland, and went to Guilford Co, NC, and that his son John D. REED (my gg grandfather) was born in Guilford Co. Does anyone have information about this family. I live far from NC and can not get there to do research. I would also like to contact a descendant of this family. Thanks. Cecy Rice

    1. [NCRowan] Stanley 1810
    2. Michael Husij
    3. Is anyone on this list researching the Stanley or Stanly family who was in Rowan County, NC in the late 1700s and early 1800s? I'm particularly interested in the family of Joseph Stanly who I found on the 1810 census. Living with him were 3 males under 10, one male 16-25, one female under 10 and one female 16 to 25 (possibly his wife). I believe this "may" be the family of my John Stanley who was living in Santa Rosa County, FL by 1840. John Stanley married Nancy Owens (possibly spelled Owing). John was born about 1800 and married sometime before 1840. Any information on this family would be appreciated very much. Also, I'm new to researching in this county, so I'd be grateful for any research tips! Best regards, Susan Hill Husij husij@cox.net Phoenix, AZ
