    3. Joy - I have no idea. The Leonard family I am interested in (no relation) received a land grant adjoining Wendle Miller, Thomas Brown, David Woodson, Christopher Lylerly. My impression after locating this on a Kluttz's map this was definitely German. A few were for English speaking groups. Probate records in Iredell County show that she was the widow of William McLeod, who was apparently killed in a fall from a wagon in 1806. Shortly after his death, Christian was delivered of a baby girl, whom she name Jane (called "Jennie"). There is a document in the records that states Christian had married Daniel Monroe McKay in 1807, while the court was still probating the estate. I am interested in Daniel primarily to find out what happened to Christian, but I am also interested in any of their descendants. How are you connected to Daniel? Please let me know. Christian has many living descendants through Jennie's line.
