I have inadverdently pitched that NCROOTS reply but I want to say Thank You to the person who responded - it was very helpful of you.I do not subscribe to Rowan co just now and so missed the original post. Agnes Cloninger - ------------------------------ Do any of you have the Deal surname in your lines - I am looking for the origins of David Franklin Deal who turns up in Catawba County in the census for 1850 born maybe 1819. He later married one of the daughters of David Wike also of Catawba County. In 1850 he is living with David Wike's family. Also would like to find anyone who has the surname Dealsnyder in their background - they would have been in Lincoln county in the 1820 to 30's A Cloninger
