Good Evening Everyone, Along with my Aunt we are searching for information on Samuel Porter of Halifax County, North Carolina We have Samuel in Halifax County, (District #12) North Carolina as early as 1786 . We also have a copy of his will and he mention his wife Mary Porter , his Children John Porter (my ggggrandfather) William Porter and Samuel Porter. He also mention his daughters, Nancy Porter Hervy, Sally Porter Apsby, (We have also found Sally listed as Sarah ) Polly Porter Scogins, and Elizabeth Porter Dameron. I am not sure it Lucy Pritchett was a daughter to Samuel, the wills is a little hard to read, But I believe she is. We would like to find Samuel Porter parents He is listed on the LDS site as being born in Halifax County, NC but we have not proven it as of yet.
