I am new to this group, but hope someone can help. Looking for info about William Jackson, born in New Jersey in 1736, and went to NC and possibly Georgia about 1768. His brother Edward anduncle John Jackson went on to WVa, William and his family, his sister Elizabeth and her husband JamesTompkins and family went on to Wilkes Co., NC., and later to Carter Co., Tenn. William Jackson signed the marriage bond when Abigail Jackson married Jonathon Hughes on 11 July,1786. It is believed he is her father. William Jackson had many children, would like to hear from anyone that canhelp and may be working on this Jackson line. Abigail died in Harrison Co., (W)Va 1 July 1842. She is my ggggrandmother.
