I really do appreciate you`ll folks try to help yesterday. But it looks like they hadn`t anybody got what I needed as far as U.S. or State archives when it comes to John Johnson`s Military records. They`ve just got were he was from, were he enlisted, dates, then to were he was wounded near Drewry`s Buff, Va. May 14-16 and took to a Hosp.#9 in Richmond, Va. Winder, then they nobody knows. I know what didn`t happen as far as I can find, he never came home. So I need to see if you`ll will try an look up John Johnson abt.1827 and Smithy Maddill`s abt.1826 marrage records, sometime during the 1840`s. I`ve been trying for awhile and haven`t come up with anything. Some of you all may have the resources to find them. I not sure were it would have took place, in 1850 they were in N.C. and from then on. Thanks for any help. James L. Johnson Jr.
