Cindy and List: The Rowan Co. BARRs are not the same as the BARRS who settled in Greensboro area about 1750. I do not have the exact date of the Greensboro BARRs coming to US, have not been to the library to check on the book, "Gone to Georgia", but from a paragraph quoted to me from the book, I do not feel nor think they are the same, unless the second generation went to Rowan Co., and a different area than James BARR, b. 1720, Scotland, m. AGNES (?). Also heard from someone that James BARR was to hae said "No way are they part of my Family!" which of course COULD mean that they really were.<G> I am still looking for the 10 sons and 3 daughters of James and Agnes BARR were. Help????? and the children of James &Nancy ANTHONY BARR. More HELP??????????Hope the right person hears this yell. <G> There were also at least 4 different BARR families who came to US at different times up to 1868, probably more later.
