Dear Listers I need help in identifying the principals, their relationship to each other, their descendants, and particularly their ancestors, as appear in this abstracted document: WILLIAMS, Nathan of Rutherford Co., Tennessee, 15 Jun 1821 appoints Hosea MCNEIL of Caswell Co., NC, attorney to recover from the estate of Thomas MCNIELL deceased or of Ann MCNIELL, deceased, late of Person Co., NC, said WILLIAMS' legacy <in right of my wife Frances.> (As appeared in Ransom McBride "Migration As Shown in Powers of Attorney," in NORTH CAROLINA GENEALOGICAL JOURNAL, Vol. 8, Feb 1982, p. 33) This is also being posted in the Williams List and in the McNeal List. Is the father of Nathan Williams, Henry Williams who died testate in Caswell Co., NC ca 1786? If not, who is his father? If Henry is his father, I have information to exchange.
