    3. Good Morning Patty, Cindy and Everyone, I have a quick question here (am really confused now), and maybe someone will be able to answer my question. I thought it was illegal (especially in NC during that time) for a white person to marry an Indian. I have read this several times. According to this, such was not the case ??
