Hello all, I am a County Coordinator for GenWeb here in my home state of Indiana. My county list doesnt do roll calls at all and we've never really had a problem with people trying to start one up in the 2 years that I've been CC. I *think* what my people (ones searching in this county) do is go to the various county pages and post their surnames, as well as look for their surnames. Say your relatives were mainly in Alamance Co NC...you would go to: http://www.rootsweb.com/~ncalaman/surnames.html and post your names or look for them. Most county pages have these lists of surnames and the people who are looking for or have info on them. There are a LOT of people visiting those pages that arent on this list...you are probably more likely to make a direct connection there than doing a roll call. Just an idea... Kathy PS. My apologies to any CC's that might suddenly get swamped with surnames to add tonight :) Firstmoms Genealogy Resources -North Carolina
