    3. Patty, I have a copy of Wilkes County marriages 1778-1868 by Holcomb. There is only one marriage listed for Absalom it reads: Strutton,Absalom and Dorcas Shearman, 25 Oct 1806; John Kerbo bondsman. Marriages to Native Americans were considered intermarriages and sometimes this appears on the bonds. Cindy in NC Patty Brock wrote: > I need someone's expertise with a marriage bond.
