Can anybody out there tell me, what kind of info a man would given when he enlisted in Oct. of 1861 in the North Carolina State Troops? And are they records of that info still around? Because I thought I might could get my John Johnson`s abt.1827, parents names this way and his wife`s real name this way. I`ve about run out of ways to find them.
