I William Gunn being at this time very indispoed and weak of body though of sound memory and knowing it is appointed for all men to die..........I give to my two sons, John and William the land I now live on.......Wife to live with one or the other. MARRIAGE BOND WILLIAM GUNN-SUZANNAH CLANTON Warren County North Carolina - 1782 We William Gunn and William Clanton of the above mentioned County do promise to pay or cause to be paid to the Governor of this State for the timebeing the sum of five thousand pounds current money of the State of North Carolina to be void on condition there be no lawful cause to obstruct a marriage now depending between the above bound William Gunn and Suzannah Clanton taken before me this 24 day of March 1782.
