Hi Richard; I don't know if this will help, but the book "Eight Edition of the Handy Book for Genealogists" by The Everton Publishers, Inc. , PO Box 368, Logan, Utah, 84321, published 1991 (No ISBN that I can find) Way back on page M-55, there are several maps showing Territorial growth 1775 - 1820. The "Territory south of Ohio" was formed in 1790 and included the now states of Tennessee, the north portion of both MIss and Ala. In 1804, the area minus Tenn became "the Mississippi Territory. Tenn became a state in 1796, and in 1817, Miss became a state; Ala became a state in 1819. The Territory Northwest of Ohio was formed in 1787 and included Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Illinois and Wisconsin. Hope this helps you Will in Phoenix On Mon, 17 Jan 2000 20:15:07 -0500, you wrote: >Does anyone know who or what The Davidson County Rangers were. >Does anyone know who and what Lieut Walkers Rangers were.
