I need someone's expertise with a marriage bond. The year is 1806 in Wilkes co. NC. The marriage bond says it is an intermarriage. What would that mean for that time period? Also if anyone has any marriage books for Wilkes co. could you please see if there is one for Absolum Strutton/Stratton. Supposedly Absolum had an intermarriage in 1806 but this doesn't explain his first son's birth being in 1799 unless they had children out of wedlock. Can anyone help me?
