I just came across my gggrandfather in Sampson County records. The visit was numbered, but instead of the head of household, "unoccupied" was written on the first line. My gggrandfather, George L. Giddens, and another man were listed under "unoccupied" as they appeared to be living at that residence. Any other ideas??
