Hey Lisa and others; I'm Baaaaak again. In "Abtracts of Deed Books 11-14 of Rowan Co NC 1786-1797" by James W. Kluttz, 1996, page 11: Deed Book 11, 9 August 1787. State Grant #1487 @50 sh per 100 A to Peter Miller, 150 A on Haregans Branch of Bear Creek adjoining ROBERT WATKINS. In this same book on page 633; John Williams born abt 1760 prob in Maryland came to Rowan Co NC abt 1804 with four other families and he married Elizabeth Barrett on Friday, 7 March, 1793 in Prince George Co. MD. He was thought to be the son of William Williams and Frances and he served in RW and War of 1812. His daughter, Elizabeth Williams born 7 Jan. 1807 in Davidson Co NC died 3 April 1859 in Pike Co IL buried Blue River Cemetery near a small town called Detroit. Elizabeth married Mr. Watkins in 1839. Only important if you have a wife and no surname for her.
