Hello all, I normally don't do such wide open postings -- but I need to have an idea who is researching CAMPBELL in the Johnston, and Wake, County areas. The time frame that I'm interested in is pre-1786. I have a group of CAMPBELL, intertwined with WATKINS, that I'm chasing after. I can identify them once they arrived in Oglethorpe Co. GA, but the familial connection has not been found there, and since it's proven that my WATKINS owned land in these two Counties, we're taking the time to dig for evidence that will connect the CAMPBELL's one to another. It has long been held that they were acquainted with one another long before their time spent in GA . . . so NC has to hold some amount of clues. These are what I'm hunting for.
