1. [NCROOTS] New England area research avail
2. Hello list, Sorry to intrude, but I am excited! I just added a researcher to my page that is available to help those of you that had ancestors in Rhode Island, Massachusetts and Connecticut. I know this is a NC list, but many of our ancestors landed in New England and stayed a while before moving on to other nearby states. And she has access to such great resources, so I thought she might be able to help someone out there. She has access to so many great resources out there, like town halls, courthouses, genealogical libraries, archives and societies, and I think she would be of great help on some of your brick walls! She can also get records for you, and certify them for your applications to such organizations as DAR and Mayflower Society. To read more about her and what she might be able to help you with, go to: http://members.tripod.com/~KHuish/research.html or if you can click in email: Firstmom's Genealogy Researcher's List Scroll down to "NEW ENGLAND" It's a list of researcher's from Alabama to Maryland to Scotland, and lots of locations in between, all available to assist you in your hunt for ancestors. Some specialize in ship passenger lists or census, and some do photographs of tombstones and old buildings (gggrandpa's house still standing?? Wanna SEE it?). More are being added frequently so you may want to bookmark the site for when you get deeper into your research, and as you come to brick walls in other states. And feel free to pass this link on to other's who might find it useful! Good luck and happy hunting! Kathy
